User Validation is not working properly

Hi All,

Hope you can help me on this, When I create a user from the textbox fields it accepts special characters which it shouldn't and also for the email it also accepts non format email type which means the system can accept any value, it also accepts no passwords when I didn't fill the password field and click Create User the system accepts it.

My Question is how can I resolve this problem or is this a bug from alfresco? Where am I suppose to go to fix this problem?

This sounds like a bug, although from some quick testing on the latest code I wasn't able to reproduce the problem (and was getting the proper error message) but was possibly not using the same characters as you. Could you please raise a JIRA issue at http://issues.alfresco.com with the details of the characters that you feel shouldn't be accepted?

Thank you for your reply, yes I think this is a bug and by the way I'm using Alfresco version 4.2.c
