User temp folder

Hi all, i'd like to know if exists a sort of temporary folder for each user, or if can be create one for each of them.

Is the user's "home" folder what you are looking for?   Or does each user need a temp folder in addition to their home folder?

I didn't know that user home folder was temporary, how it works?
I tested it about 2 hours ago(uploading a pdf in my user home folder, under repository>User Homes>myfolder) but the file is still here.
