User name and password is incorrect after installing Web Quick Start.

I am new to this Alfresco world.
I installed "alfresco-community-4.2.c-installer-linux-x64.bin (64 bit)" and configured for MySQL and started to use it. After reading about Web Quick Start from "http://docs.alfresco.com/4.2/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.alfresco.enterprise.doc%2Ftasks%2Fsimpleinstall-..." , I installed Web Quick Start by following the instructions given. I noticed that as it mentioned both "alfresco and share" folder got changed.
But now I am not able to Log In by using ny old username and password. Why?
Its telling that "The remote server may be unavailable or your authentication details have not been recognized."

Check the repo is running by targeting <server_host>:8080/alfresco. Usually I find that (as share tends to get deployed first) after share deploys something goes wrong with the repo (again permgen space error for un tweaked JVM memory settings usually) and it doesn't get deployed the result is that share is unable to acess the repo and it throws that error message. Check your tomcat logs and post up any errors if this is the case.
