Use Alfresco to share files too large for email

I have a clean install of Alfresco Community running on an Ubuntu Lamp machine in VMWare.

I'm looking to use Alfresco to set up an infrastructure where users within a bank can share files(preferably by  internal and externally that are too big for email.

Is this possible? How would I implement it?

Yes of course its possible.    Do you have any specific questions?

Either make your instance of alfresco available internally and externally or sign up for alfresco enterprise and use cloud sync.

I want to be able to send to people who don't have accounts like the members of the bank might.

You can view without one? What about upload?
