Uploading files directly from scanner

Hello!
I am new with alfresco and I would like to know if instead of browsing for a file is there any posibility of uploading the file directly from a scanner connected to the alfresco server. I would also like to know if i can select multiple files to be uploaded (I have tried by pressing Ctrl and selecting files but i doesn't work)

You can upload files to Alfresco using the CIFS interface. Infact you can have your scanner just save directly into Alfresco via CIFS.

Basically Alfresco lets you access the repository as a shared drive from your PC. And you can just drag and drop files. See http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/CIFS
