We are running a pilot project with Community version 4.2e. We have everything setup for demonstration to our Executive, however, we need to demonstrate that larger files can be uploaded into the system. We are trying to upload a few files that are about 100MB without success. The system gives us an error: (Failure: 404 Not Found)
Can anyone help?
Thank you.

Whilst there are limits they are way more than 100Mb (2Gb is commonly quoted).
Does it reach 100% & then fail? If it does it could be that some post processing is failing (see your alfresco.log). If not you could have a file limit set on Tomcat or if you are accessing Alfresco via Apache (using ajp) then there is a limit on apache that you will need to increase because the default on that is 10Mb if memory serves.
There are fair size files to be uploading over http, why not FTP them in it would be faster.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply! It appears to upload the entire file and then fails with the attached message.

I notice this is an EXE. What server os do you have? This isn't an AV program (or IIS) killing an upload of an executable is it?
If not, look in Alfresco.log you will get a much larger and more informative error message in that file.
Let me know what it is.

It was a random file that I chose to view the error. I will look at the Alfresco.log and see what it says. I will respond again after. Thanks!

Hi Zedhed,
I came across the same issue.
Any luck on finding the resolution? can you share it to me?
This is very annoying issue as no logs on the server ever recorded what is actually causing the error, I even resort to checking the server on the last file touched just so I can trace any file being updated (esp logs) but to no avail.
So although I am pretty sure its file size issue, I still cant attest to it as I don't have proof, really annoying.

Hi lllaaabbb,
Nothing yet. I uploaded a copy of a log of ours. I was hoping that Bob might have a chance to look at it. I will let you know if and when we find anything.

We are currently using Alfresco 4.2e and looking to upgrade to 5.1 but are having issues with uploading files larger than 30 Meg. Will we have the same issues with Alfresco Community version 5.1?
