With you on that sentiment! We plan on releasing our Preview I release by close of business Friday, October 6th. This Preview release will provide support for site creation, XML content authoring, change sets, sandboxed development (including supported for layered views), virtualization (both static and dynamic sites), and content staging and promotion. Under the covers (not yet supported in the GUI) will be support for snapshots, branching, and more.
We also plan a follow-up Preview release - Preview II - at the end of October to provide additional WCM capabilities. Most noteably will be the integration of jBPM for workflow review of change sets in the context of a sandbox and workflow-driven content transformations and promotions to staging and the live site.
Our GA release remains on target for mid-December. Post Preview II we will be finalizing plans for a GA candidate towards the end of November that will serve as the functionally complete build that we will thoroughly QA and certify for final release.
