Update of alfresco tilte property when updatin custom property

Hi Alfresco Team,

When we do update of few of our custom properties through alfreco webscripts it is updating the title property of alfresco with the old title which was given earlier for the document.
When I do the update of document properties I'm printing the title value it's giving the correct value.But in Node Browser it is showing the old title which I given earlier for the document.Is there any cache of document properties in alfresco?
Can you please help in this regard.

Sorry to ask the newbie question but after changing the properties, are you saving it?
for example
node.properties["cm:title"]="SEEDIM";
node.save();
