Unable to run localhost:8080/alfresco

Hello Team

After configuring the things like putting alfresco.war and share.war inside webapps of tomcat and alfresco-global.properties(with all configuration inside it)inside  tomcat/shared/classes,I am able to find the application localhost:8080/share,but unable to login and coming up with an error "The remote server may be unavailable or your authentication details have not been recognized".And am unable to connect to localhost:8080/alfresco and getting " Unable to retrieve License information from Alfresco: 404"in my log.

So please help me fixing this and run both of them fine.

Could you attach tomcat logs ?

"Unable to retrieve License information from Alfresco: 404" tell us that there is something wrong with your Alfresco deployment.

Can you access to http://localhost:8080/alfresco ?

First your are stop Skype if you are using, it is may be one reason of installing / running.

I am not able to help, just wanted to tell you that I have the same (or similar) problem.

Skype seems not to have a role because my computer is not running Skype.

From the alfresco.log file, I see that there is some problem connecting with the database (MySQL)

although I have done everything the Tomcat manual instructs to connect to the database, such as installing the driver / connector in tomcat/lib, creating the database 'alfresco' in MySQL, creating user 'alfresco' with password 'alfresco' in the database, making the appropriate changes in tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco-global.properties, etc.

Nothing could change this behaviour, so I gave up trying for now.

Has the alfresco user been granted permission on alfresco database?

After your tip above, I granted permission and was able to connect to the alfresco database. Started Tomcat which made a lot of tables in the database. alfresco.log showed some progress but stalled at the keystore. It didn't like the present keystore and was unable to create a new one. Going to localhost:8080/share/ gave the following error:

This site can’t provide a secure connection

localhost sent an invalid response.

• Try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

The problem that you are facing is not due to the 'license error' .

Look at the logs once again. There should be another cause for not running of your application.
