Unable to change the site name after the site has been created

I have created a site and moved some files into the document library. However, I need to edit the site name from Edit Properties in /share and it says could not update details. I have tried to modify the site name in /alfresco and it prompt me a error message said: Failed to create new space due to error: Sites can not be renamed.

Just simply want to know how to change the site name and how to solve the above error?

Sorry you can't rename a site.    There's a policy there to protect you.   You can remove the policy but then you will be following up your posting by … I renamed a site and x and y don't work.
