Could you give me an example of triggering an Event Sub-Process using message events? Is it possible to do this inside a process, for example using a script or java service task?

message throwing event is not supported in the Activiti Engine
….
we should definitely add message throw and boundary event support as well.
Let's see if we can do this for the 5.11 or 5.12 release.
Thanks

Hi,
Activiti 5.11 has support for message boundary events already. We plan to add support for message throw events and message flows between pools in Activiti 5.12
