transfer service 3.3

running alfresco 3.3.3E. created a folder under "Default Group", but it does not add the transfer aspects. Is there some other configuration that needs to be done ?

I suspect the rule to specialize the type to a transfer target was added in 3.4.

In 3.3 you will need to create a transfer target through the transfer service API.

how does the permissions level work for transfers. i have seen only admin account work. how are the regular users allowed to transfer content?

Any user can request a transfer as long as they can read the transfer target and the nodes to transfer.    The actual transfer has to use an account with full access to the repo.
