Tortoise SVN and Enterprise repository issue

Hi everybody,

I have next issue:
Windows 7, TortoiseSVN 1.7.6 (1.7.1,  1.7.11) doesn't work with https://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-enterprise-mirror/ repository
it shows next error message:


Checkout from https://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-enterprise-mirror, revision HEAD, Fully recursive, Externals included

Unable to connect to a repository at URL
'https://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-enterprise-mirror'
OPTIONS of 'https://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-enterprise-mirror': SSL
handshake failed: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
(https://svn.alfresco.com)

It worked correctly few months ago.  But now it doesn't.

I believe that TortoiseSVN is most popular SVN client for Windows 7. I have googled  same issue descriptions for another repositories, but didn't find solution.  Does anybody have advice to resolve this issue?

Don't think its related to tortoise.  

I see this occasionally too.   May be something to do with the size of the repo, load on the server or a dodgy network connection.

If the problem persists then contact alfresco support.

It happens for me last days.

I found  of Stefan Küng's (tortoise author)  answer:

I think it should be useful for server admins.

Issue was resolved by SmartSVN usage.
Looks like last versions of TortoiseSVN have incompatibility with Alfresco's repository SSL realization.
