java.net.SocketException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
This suggests you need to allow the "alfresco" db schema user access to your MySQL instance. Have you executed these lines:
grant all on alfresco.* to 'alfresco'@'localhost' identified by 'alfresco' with grant option;
grant all on alfresco.* to 'alfresco'@'localhost.localdomain' identified by 'alfresco' with grant option;
