Text to Html conversion

I have created a rule in a space say "uploadspace" that transforms text file into html, and moves the html file to another space say "htmlspace".

I get html file created when any text files is uploaded in to the space "uploadspace" with out html tags embeded in its source code. alfresco transforms text file to html by just putting .html extension to it. No html tags and formating is achieved in html source generated.

thus, when this html file is opened in browser, it shows all the text in consecutive lines.

Can anyone please help me to achieve correct html file converted by alfresco that pertains text formating as in the origional
text file ?

I am using Alfresco-Community-3.2r.

thanking you in advance..

There are a number of different ways that textual material can be transformed into HTML. For instance, using wiki-rules to convert paragraphs, headings and lists into the appropriate HTML equivalent.

I don't believe that Alfresco implements those different types of text-to-HTML conversions. You can find a program that does the conversion, and then use an Alfresco conversion rule to convert the text file. See the wiki page on content transformations: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Content_Transformations
