Hi,all.
I want install alfresco-community-4.2.f-installer-linux-x64.bin for Ubuntu Server.
I download and   sudo chmod +x alfresco-community-4.2.f-installer-linux-x64.bin
latest
sudo ./alfresco-community-4.2.f-installer-linux-x64.bin –mode text
./alfresco-community-4.2.f-installer-linux-x64.bin: 1: ./alfresco-community-4.2.f-installer-linux-x64.bin: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

sudo uname -a
Linux server-alfresco 3.13.0-24-generic #47-Ubuntu SMP Fri May 2 23:31:42 UTC 2014 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux

Hi,
sudo ./alfresco-community-4.2.f-installer-linux-x64.bin‍
is the commad to install use with out any options and check.

I have the same problem.  Ran installer without options.  still get the Syntax Error "(" unexpected.  Ran uname -m on server and it reports i686 so my assumption is this is a 64 bit server running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS trying to load the 64bit installer.  Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks for the post.
You os is 32 bit, and installing alfresco u need 64 bit OS
