Is there a stable release source code for Alfresco 1.4 in svn besides the HEAD version? If so, how would I checkout that version from the svn repository?

Thanks

The 1.4 SDK on sourceforge has the exact code and projects the 1.4 distribution was built from:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/alfresco/alfresco-community-sdk-1.4.0.tar.gz?modtime=1161776535&big...

I initially read the above post to mean that the SVN tags we sought were listed in the SDK.

It may be worth clarifying that the source itself is in the files …

    src/core-src.zip
    src/remote-api-src.zip
    src/repository-src.zip
    src/web-client-service-src.zip
    src/web-client-src.zip

Here we are again, guessing version numbers..

YOU PROMISED TO MAKE THE SVN NUMBER PUBLIC IN AN EARLIER POST!

Every time there's a new communitiy release this question reappears - and a SDK is delivered that i can't use to import in eclipse and start building alfresco.

What is the subject here? Turning off contributors? I don't get it.

BTW I did a manual comparision with beyond compare of some alfresco sources. It is cumbersome as the structure of svn and sdk differ quite a bit but it seems to me that revision 238 could be the one…

Tom

ps: reverse enginering revision numbers is not the way it's meant to be in the OSS world  :? .

Kevin,

The 1.4.0 is dated Oct 25 2006. Is there a better version of 1.4.x which really should fix the bugs been reported since then.

How could I get the source code of 1.4.x with the bugs fixes? Or there is no such a thing?

Thanks,
Jian

It would be pretty simple to use tags with SVN … it would helpful especially with all the work that's happening lately with the push towards the stable 2.0 …

Simply, we can't do it.

The 1.4 branch is not public and there bug fixes will be applied. Later these fixes will merge with the current branch (HEAD). Unfortunately here you will find even the new developments and then the new bugs. For this reason, the community release will never be stable.

The only chance seems to be looking for fixes (svn) and apply them to your code (the released sdk).
