Support for MS SQL SERVER...

The backlog list of features includes a reference to MS SQL Server and the expectation of community involvement provide support.

Are there any plans for that to change?

Secondly, is anyone, generally working on providing the implementation to be checked in to the product?

MSSQL server support is a requirement to run in Alfresco. I assume it will be QA'd next month, so until then there is no guarantee it works out of the box as we don't have a testsuite running on it.
