Sub process conversion to .bpmn

Hi,

I am new to activiti and still in learning phase. I would like to know is it possible to convert a sub-process into separate .bpmn file and then use that .bpmn file into parent process in place of subprocess.
I tried using CallActivity but it is not retaining the selected process and it disappear once I move out of it in Eclipse.
