Hi there,

I have just installed alfresco community 1.4. On the web client everything is fine. I created some users and groups to manage access to folders. This works fine.
But when I access the repo via webdav I can access all folders even those where my user does not have access.

Any ideas what is going wrong

thx and bye
Olli

Sorry, I forgot to mention that even CIFS access works fine with the according access rights.

thx and bye

Which user are you using to log into WebDav? I tried this and couldn't reproduce it with a restricted user.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I used a new created user (not the admin user). I tried this with different roles. the behavior is always the same.

I installed the AlfrescoCommunity-1.4-Linux-x86-Install binary.

As mentioned the behavior of the web client and cifs access is perfect.

Hello,

By default all users have Read Access to all spaces (this of course can be changed).
I have tried to recreate this scenario and indeed I can log in as a non-admin user and view all spaces (folders) in the system - this is normal.
But, if I try to add or create content into any space where I don't have the correct permissions I am disallowed.
Have you checked whether your non-admin user can create content in spaces where they don't have the correct permissions?
Have you also checked whether a Group that the user is a member of has any permissions on the spaces?

Thanks,

Steve
