SSO Authentication Fails in 4.2.c

Installed Alfresco Community 4.2.c on Windows Server 2008 R2.

Attempting to configure Single Sign On following instructions from http://docs.alfresco.com/community/tasks/auth-alfrescontlm-sso.html

- Restarted server. Log on as windows administrator. When I browse to http://127.0.0.1:8080/share the page prompts for username and password.

- Created another windows user (alfre). Log into windows as this user and browse to Alfresco Share, page prompts for a username and password.

- I created this user (Alfre) manually in Alfresco with same windows logon details. Browse to Alfresco, page still prompts for username and password.

What I understand by SSO is that after the user logs on to windows, he can log on to Alfresco Share without the need for authentication.

Am I wrong?

What other setting am I supposed to configure to make this happen?

Thanks for taking the time to help out a novice.

It seems you are trying to configure this: http://docs.alfresco.com/community/tasks/auth-kerberos-shareSSO.html

The configuration detailed at http://docs.alfresco.com/community/tasks/auth-alfrescontlm-sso.html is used just only for alfresco and share web apps SSO.

Oh! Thank you very much.

I get the difference now. I will have to sync Alfresco users with our Active Directory users and then we can have the Single Sign On.

Many thanks Borroy!
