Sorting Recently Modified Documents

Hi

How to change the sorting on the "Recently Modified Documents" site-dashlet ? I would like the sorting reversed so it would display the most recent modified document first, instead of last.

Also noticed that the sorting on the My Documents dashlet on the user dashboard is sorted wrong as well…

Been browsing all those 'docsummary.get…' and 'my-documents.get…' dashlet files but can't find anything related to sorting… Any idea's ?

I'm looking at Alfresco 4.0.a Community right now and I'm seeing that in both the Global Dashboard and the Site Dashboard, the modified documents dashlet displays the most recently modified document at the top of the list.

That's not the case for you?

Strange. It is working as expected on my install of Alfresco 4.0.d. Community.

I went into my browser's JavaScript console and saw that this is the URL being sent to the repository:
http://localhost:8080/share/proxy/alfresco/slingshot/doclib/doclist/documents/site/test-site-1/docum...

If I remove "&filter=recentlyModified" the results that come back will be in the order the documents were created. If I include it, they come back with the most recently modified first.

Can you confirm that (1) that is the URL being invoked by the client-side JavaScript code when you go to your site dashboard (http://localhost:8080/share/page/site/test-site-1/dashboard) and that (2) if you navigate to that URL in your browser, you get the results back in the correct order?

You'll obviously have to change "test-site-1" to your site's URL.

Jeff

PS. I'm using WAR-only, Lucene, Tomcat, Mac OS X

Yes it invokes the correct URL, but in the wrong sort order. When I remove "&filter=recentlyModified" it gets 0 results…

Are you using Lucene or Solr?

[UPDATED with link to Jira]

On a hunch I decided to install using Solr and guess what? Sorted incorrectly. I then shut down and reconfigured to use Lucene instead of solr and the problem went away.

I've reported this as a bug in Jira.
