[solved]problem with special characters in xpath

Hi

I'm facing a problem with the xpath of the nodes I'm trying to add to the Alfresco repository. To make the xpath of my nodes I use the name of the documents. As they all starts with a ( or with a number, I used ISO9075.encode() to encode them. The problem is for emails which title is like "Fwd: my subject…". The : is not supported in xpath but is not encoded with ISO9075 !

So which encoding type should I use to get rid of all these special characters not supported in xpath? Or is there another solution?

I finally created my own encoding class to convert each and every illegal characters in xpaths.
