Solr issues

I am running alfresco4.2.c on linux.After 2 0r 3 days I we need to remove SolrBackup 

rm -rf /opt/data/……../alf_data/solrBackup

After two or three days it again full.Plase give me solution for it any one.

Add this 2 parameters into your alfresco-global.properties

solr.backup.alfresco.numberToKeep=3

solr.backup.archive.numberToKeep=3

Change the value 3 for the number of backup copies you want to keep.

If your problem is disk space, so maybe keeping only 2 copies would be enough
