Slow page rendering

Hello!

I've successfully installed Alfresco. But have one small problem. When the page is opened over the LAN (100Mb/s) it takes almost 7 sec to load and draw all the small graphics: icons, lines, corners, etc. The main text appears almost immediately but grahics does not. Is it OK or I have some configuration problem? And if former than how to speed-up rendering (pre-cache images or something like this).

If I open the page from the same PC as Alfresco server then everything is fine. Is something wrong with Tomcat settings?

My server HW/SW: P-IV, 512M RAM, ATA HDD, Windows 2000. Client - IE 6.0

It's an IE problem. Firefox and Opera render pages slow first time only.

Yes sounds like an image caching issue In IE. In the IE browser menus, select Tools->Internet Options->Temporary Internet Files->Settings

In this dialog make sure "Automatic" is selected and not "Every Visit to the page"
