Simple question about metadata in Share

I had a question from one of my users today. She was wondering where the information in parentheses in the Document Library comes from.

The information in the red boxes is what I'm talking about:

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am having a brain fart and really have no clue what to tell her it is. It's not editable.

It's the "title" field. It's editable via the Edit Metadata pop-up.

The "Title" field was empty, so I assumed it wasn't it. Thanks for the clarification!
