Signavio Modeler does not start / Problems with Demo Setup

Hello everybody,

with Activity 5.0 the Modeler does not start. I am a Windows user with Firefox.
The Modeler displays a white page with the Tab-Title 'Explore|Signavio' and thats it.
I started the Tomcat using the demo setup.

Activiti Explorer and Activiti Probe start correctly, but I am not able to login using 'Kermit' as it used to be. I get the error message 'The system was unable to log you in.'

Does anybody have an idea to help me?

Looks like something went wrong when starting tomcat.

Can you check your catalina.out log for errors while starting spring-context in webapp-rest?

Hi,

I've got exactly the same problem.

The catalina log file does not show any exception.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Markus

Hi,

It works however with Activiti 5.0 RC1…

Thanks,

I am using Windows and Firefox and mine does work.

I notice in the screen shot in the original post you are using port 8180. I'm using the default 8080, could it be a configuration issue related to that ?

No, its not a configuration problem of the port.
Then you would not get a Signavio titled page at all.
And with RC1 it worked - like Markus stated - and there I was using port 8180 too.

Thanks anyway for your hints!

Yes, very much a hint as I am new to the system.

But I did notice that there had been fixes/changes relating to URL handling and authentication (ACT 255 & 274). So just wondered if that might change the configuration requirements when switching from 8080.

Or might give some other clue.

Paul.

Maybe you should take a look at

activiti\apps\apache-tomcat-6.0.29\webapps\activiti-modeler\WEB-INF\classes\configuration.properties

I had to adjust that, when I started tomcat on a port other than 8080.

Hi all,

it has nothing to do with the port.

Doesn't work even on port 8080…
