Share uploaded content between Space folders and Sites Docs

Fairly new to Alfresco so want to understand how the uploaded content between spaces and sites is related.

How can I share that content? I have uploaded some content in the Space folders and want to refer to it in the Sites.

Since deleting a site deletes all the Document Library content also, is sharing the content (between Space content and Sites) a good idea?

Thanks.

From the Share UI, you can access the Alfresco repository (spaces) if you enable the Repository button through the configuration file.  When you click on the Repository button you can navigate the spaces tree (e.g., Company Home), but the search function is not currently available.  http://keytocontent.blogspot.com/2010/03/repository-browsing-in-alfresco-share.html

Thanks Steve for you reply…
What are the guidelines (or standard practice) in terms of how the content is uploaded in Space folders and Share Library. It seems like they can be browsed but can they linked to Share and should they be linked?

I'd hate to maintain two separate repositories of documents because when we do collaboration, I can see the use most of the content in Space folders to be used in collaboration sites.

I'm fairly new to Alfresco so would like to understand the reasoning behind this separation.

I would also like to integrate repository documents with Share sites, but so far, using the OOTB Share interface, the repository button (without search capability) is what we have.  I haven't looked v3.4 to see if anything has changed, however.  I haven't seen that you can create a link to a repository document from the Share document library, but that would be a nice feature.

Regarding deleting a Share site – you would need to copy those documents to the repository or another site if you wanted to save them.
