Server Restart

Hi

we installed Alfresco 2.1 setup file on windows 2003 with 4 GB ram and 1 terra byte HArd disk.
Some times the tomcat server is not starting and the application is not running
once we restart the machine the tomcat is starting and the application is running fine
Is there is a need to restart the machine once in a while?
in one of the forums we heard that restart of the machine will free up some likege of memory?
IS it true
Please reply
or oue tomcat server is hanging up due to some other reasons?

There is no specific error to that
but everytime we get the following error.
