serial and parallel workflow in one?

Hello, is it possible to create a custom workflow that starts with a pooled task and move onto a group parallel task?

I've been trying and just wondering if this is possible.

Yes, this should work. Whether a task uses a pooled assignment or not is determined by how that assignment is made within the task. It isn't global to the process definition.
