Separate transformation service

Dear all
Is it possible to install LibreOffice on different machine and configure in alfresco-global.preperties to connect to LibreOffice?
I'm using alfresco CE 5.1

I'm a newbie in alfresco.

Hello,

unfortunately no, the Community Edition (CE) does not support using a LibreOffice installation on a different host. Even the Enterprise Edition does not technically support it but for that edition there is an addon module that uses Microsoft Office on a different server to perform transformations.
