Sending e-mail

I've a problem with e-mails. I wish to automatically send an e-mail each tima a change is made on a document. Unfortunately, I didn't find any rule nor workflows to reach my purpose. Could you please help me? :cry:

Hi,

There is a rule to achieve this.

Create an update rule that sends mail to specified users.
An update rule will execute whenever a document in alfresco is updated.

You are very kind! I tried to make that but I didn't find any update rule in the "rules conditions". I don't know if this is a version problem (I've alfresco 2.1). Which version do you use?

Also version 2.1.

rule conditions means on which content the rule needs to run. e.g. on all content.
So chose all items.
click next,
for the action you need to chose the send mail action.
click next,
then you will be in the details section and there you can chose inbound/outbound or update.
chose update.
This should work.

Hello !

I don't know if you have the same behaviour, I am using Alfresco 2.1 and I set up an update email alert too.
When a person create a new doc, there are 3 steps, and the problem I have is that the rule is fired for the 2 steps.

It looks like the first step raises the Inbound event, but the 2 next raise the Update event.

Do you have the same ?

Do you know to avoid this on new doc ?

i read this post with attenction.
So i hve a question.
How can it email for a documet that remain 10 days stopped?

I put a pp.doc in folder.. systems send mail for advvise that a new document was insert.
so i want that systems send another mail if after 10 days nobody see document os modify document..
is it possible?  so i need un remainer..
