Hi Everyone
Apologies if this has already been asked. I am looking at running my community version via https. The problem i encounter is two fold, one is that i lack web server skills to understand how to run this securely the best way and two, i cannot get my share point to run securely either. So if anyone knows of a post that is a step by step guide, then i would be truly grateful.

Many Thanks
Chris

If I were you I would read up on this HERE to get a foundation and HERE for additional info.

That being said you haven't really stated your environment. Operating System, version of Alfresco…etc.

Depending on your environment I would suggest you start googling "how to create SSL certificate for operating system"

The other thing you have to keep in mind is that (I think) the majority of admins that use SSL have opted to use Apache's SSL in the front end rather than using tomcat's that is installed with Alfresco. Its easier to setup and less annoying to get a true SSL connection. If you search these forums you will see numerous posts of people that have issues with using the SSL that you can import into Alfresco's install.
