Search operator for multiple categories

I have customize the advance search form of Alfresco Share to include the Categories field.  The default search operator for multiple categories is 'OR',  i.e. all contents linked to one or more of any of the selected categories are returned.  I wish to have an 'AND' search instead, i.e. only contents linked to ALL selected categories are returned.

Are there any means to configure or customize Alfresco 5 to do this?

Yes bro, it's incredible but is true. When you are working with tons of documents you ALWAYS want to find them by a specific criteria, in our case: ALL the categories.

I posted that issue because I followed all the intructions to override the OR operator and it doesn't work. An Alfresco partner asked me to create an issue on JIRA because that bug has been there for a while.
