If you just change
index.recovery.mode=full
in your alfresco-global.properties file and restart the server it will reindex automatically.

Hi miraclesuki,
Which version of Alfresco have you installed?
Are you using SOLR or Lucene as index subsystem?
Can you list all subfolders of your alf_data directory?
Can you see some error or warnings in your log file?
Please provide more informations.

Looks like you are using solr.
Check the index.subsystem.name property in your alfresco-global.properties file.
Which version did you get before the upgrade? it was prior the 4.0?
You can try changing that property in this way: index.subsystem.name=lucene, then make a full reindex setting index.recovery.mode=full anche check if it's going better.
If not look at both your alfresco.log and catalina.log and post the errors.
