Hello,

I'm new in alfresco, sorry for it. I'm writing a Vb.Net winforms application in Visual Studio 2010. I want to use Alfresco to show my application help documents. My application open a windows form with a webbrowser. In this Webbrowser I send my Alfresco url, automatically Alfresco do Ldap autenthication automatically and show me Alfresco user interface correctly.

But I want Alfresco search the document I need and show the result of this search. Can I do it? How? I need a webservice? or I can do it by code in my application?

Can I open this document directly and show it in my webbrowser? :?:

Thank you,
Ibai

You will need to call one of the remote interfaces.   The preferred approaches are CMIS (look at Apache Chemistry DotCMIS), Webscripts or failing that the old WebServices.   You would need to do a search first.

Hello mrogers,

I've tried to add CMIS Web Services reference to my project like http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Web_Service_Samples_for_.Net says: http://server.nameSmiley TongueORT/alfresco/api/CMISService?wsdl but it doesn't found anything. I've tried with other Web Services like Authentication or Repository and these I can add perfect.

Maybe you should try the following address for the WS binding of CMIS:

http://localhost:8080/alfresco/cmis
This is the main landing page of Web Services (SOAP) binding of CMIS, here you can retrieve all the WSDLs clicking on links for each exposed service.

Hope this helps.
