Search and results summary text

Hi

Is there a way to add the relevent results text to the search results? I've seen a similar post (http://forums.alfresco.com/viewtopic.php?t=2770&highlight=google) but it doesn't seem to be using the web gui if my understanding is correct. We are about to sign up with another product although I love Alfresco. The lack of detail in the search results would be a show stopper for my company though ( I'm not really interested in hit hightlighting just a summary.

It would be possible, but it would require some custom coding. All the facilities to do this (such as converting of various content formats to plain text) is built into Alfresco and customising the UI to do this would not be a big job. If it's a deal breaker for your company, then you could contact our sales department (email link on our website) and bring up the matter for discussion.
