This is only IMHO, so don't take this as gospel, but my perception is that SAP isn't too keen on the open source model since it would impact their (traditional) revenue stream. Accordingly, they would be very wary about any kind of partner agreement with an open source system, since it would be seen as the start of getting on the slippery slide of open source…….
I may be wrong, but this is just my gut feel based on 8 years working with SAP and ECM vendors such as IXOS (who developed the original ArchiveLink for SAP…..).
If anyone knows different, please let us know, since I would like nothing more than an AL certified Alfresco !!
