Retriving Documents from alfresco

Hi

Im currently using CMIS(java) and im able to store the document in alfresco repository.
My next task is to retrieve the documents from repo based on some search parameters , can u people tel how this can be accomplished or point me to some examples or documentation on this.

This Jeff Pott's tutorial on CMIS  shows how to do queries among other functions. It might be old and some things might have changed, but the basics are there… Hope it helps you.
