Restrict access to a single Share site

Hello,

I'm interested in using Alfresco Share to create a collaboration site. As the admin, I want to be able to create my collaboration site and then make it available to the users, who should fit into the usual categories (consumer, contributor, collaborator). I might even want a per-site admin user who is able to invite new users and customize the layout. But none of the users should be able to create new sites.

In fact, they don't need access to anything in the top header at all - no personal dashboard, no explicit link to their own profile page, no global people page. Is there a way of achieving this kind of configuration? Failing that, is it possible to edit the templates so the header renders more-or-less empty?

I'm using alfresco-community-3.3.

Yes. Just comment out the things you do not require out of header.get.html.ftl.

Sorry to resurrect and old topic, but is the only mention I could find on this issue.

I not only want to restrict the user to a single site, I would like them directed to the outside after login. is the answer mentioned above still applicable? If so, after commenting out the header information, how do I restrict their login so they only had access to one site?

Can this be accomplished by changing the settings in Web – client – config.XML?

I was able to paste together a solution from other topics. I disabled the app links in the header using the instructions from this thread:

and I was able to bypass the user dashboard using the instructions from this thread:

http://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=25391&p=82561

It's not the most elegant solution, and it still allows someone to access the "create site" if they type in the URL directly. But I'm not as concerned about security as I am about just directing the user to the correct page. Is there a better way to do this?
