Replication Service for incremental backup

Hi All,

Sorry if the subject has been already discussed !

I try to use the replication services between two repositories and I'm wondering if we can configure it in order to set up an incremental replication, only new documents date to date.
- My primary instance is full saved consistently (ALF_DATA + DB) every 24H.
- If I have to restore this instance I 'd like to use the content of the target repo in order to reload the "lost" documents

Is that soun you feasable ?

Thanks & regards
Guillaume

The replication service can't be used as a backup. You will loose the permissions settings and some metadata field that are required for a full restore.

The raw backup of an Alfresco instance is based on copying the alf_data on the file system and exporting the database content.

Hope this helps.

There is an addon called Alfresco BART(The Alfresco backup and recovery tool ) which can do full and incremental backups. It might satisfy your need, you can look it at
