Release date for Activiti 6 Beta 2

Hi guys,

Does anyone know when Activiti Beta 2 will be released?

Also, to take the question a bit further. Are there any rough dates as to when Activiti 6 will be ready for production?

+1 - I'd love to get an idea of what the dates are; even if they are soft at this point.

We aimed for the end of this year, but that's unlikely to happen. We have some major bits to do (history refactoring, job/timer separation). I tell to myself it's a month or 2-3 away from us … but you all know how that goes in software estimations 😉
Activiti 6 is currently on the same feature-level as activiti 5, all unit tests prove that. But we want to make it a reason to upgrade, hence we want the major feature.

From our end, the re-imagined UI is a very compelling feature in and of itself.  We were considering writing a custom UI in rails, but the AngularJS solution you've developed is something we'd just add to most likely.  That would give us a huge bump.

If you've gotten any other requests to get the UI changes out in an official manner, please up the counter once for us!

In addition, thanks for producing a top-notch product.  We're getting fantastic value out of it.  I hadn't heard of you guys a month ago, and now we have a V1 solution in production.  We couldn't be happier.

Thanks Rich, for the kind words.

The v6 will come, don't worry. It's feature-equal with v5. But we need a few areas (performance being one) which might still have big impact on it all, before we want to release.
