Is there a way to recover the search query made by a user?

What do you mean?  Do you mean programmatically?  Or do you mean in the GUI?  Can you explain in more detail what you are looking for?

When a user does a simple search or an advanced search and I am in the search results dialog, I can view the search results nodes with browseBean.  Can I yes programmatically as you say, with Java in the Dialog recover the actual search query the user made, whether simple search or advanced search?
