Read Only for Collaborator

Hello,

i am experiencing the following problem:

Over the Networkshare a user (A) uploaded an office-document.
Then another user (B) trys to edit the document. On saving, Word / Excel replies the Document was "read only" (or some other restriction, depending on format type).
Both have collaborator-rights.
The creating user A is able to edit the document without problems.

If i grant user B admin/coordinator rights, editing becomes possible.
With non Office-Files editing seems always possible.

Is this a bug?
Or how can i get around that situation?

any help?

greetings,
Chris

Ok, an update:

I eleminated passthru from my authentication chain but that didnt change anything.

I tried out the same scenario over WebDAV and it works quite fine.

I am not sure if there's a link to:
http://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-1494
or
http://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-1893

Finishing the monologue…

Origin of that Problem seems to be a Bug with MS Office 2007 (as to be found here: http://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-2028).
Obviously Office-Docs are deleted and saved under a new name when edited.
As an ordinary Collabortator doesn't have deletion-rights on documents of other Users, a save (and presumely also the opening of the file) results in a permission denial.

Workaround: Collaborator gets Deletion-Rights.
And it seems to work!

Any thoughts on that workaround?

greetings
Chris
