Quick Start Document - where do you get it?

I hate to double-post but this forum gets way more traffic than the developer forum, where there is already an answer to this question. Unfortunately the link provided there to the quick start guide doesn't work, and I don't want people to dismiss the question as already answered…

In short: Where can I find the quick start doc?

Can't find it anywhere. Tried forum search, the Alfresco documentation repo, sourceforge site for workdesk itself and good ol' google. Can't find it anywhere. The readmes included with Workdesk only point to the standard alfresco docs site, where a search on "workdesk" returns no results. Is there any documentation for Workdesk at all?

Hi,
the fact is that the original company owning OpenWorkdesk www.wewebu.com has been incorporated by Alfresco on early 2013, so the wiki maybe outdated.

Hi Throwback,

the Quickstart Guide is not yet available for Alfresco Workdesk Community Edition. As abarisone wrote before, Alfresco Workdesk previously was WeWebU OpenWorkdesk and there is/was an old OpenWorkdesk Quickstart Guide, which is currently in a review phase for bringing it into the Alfresco documentation template. It will be available the next days, will also be part of the Alfresco Wordesk Community Edition download package and I will inform you here as soon as it is available.

Hi all,

as expected, Alfresco Workdesk Community 4.1.1.0 Sprint 2 was released this week and can be downloaded from

This latest distributions contains a "doc" folder, and in there you will find the new Quickstart Guide. I am sorry that it took a little longer, but better late than never 😉 Hope you all now enjoy the latest Workdesk version.
