Problem uploading .doc files (3.2)

Just upgraded to 3.2 Community and everything seems to work fine except that all attempts to upload .doc files to a document library fail (orange upload bar, "Failure")
It doesn't matter what is in the file, whether it is a valid word document or not. .odt files and other types upload correctly
This error appears in the logs:

I don't see anything obviously wrong with the javascript, but the JS error "null" is not very helpful

Please raise this issue in JIRA - it's a bug in the org.alfresco.repo.action.executer.ContentMetadataExtracter class trying to access a Map that's not been set due to an exception being thrown by the extracter.

You can switch on debugging for that class to see what the problem with the extracter is.
