Hi,

I installed Alfresco for the first time this morning - following the release notes, I attempted to connect to the Alfresco shared "<MYCOMPUTER>_A".

Although I fing the server, it asks me for a username / password …
Can you help me, I really would like to get up to speed ASAP …

Thanks!

If this is your first time using it, I believe your username/password would be admin/admin.

admin/admin does not work … le login window keep poping-up.
It however works on the web client 😕
Any other idea?
BTW I am running the latest version of Alfresco integrated with JBoss on a Win2000 machine - I am trying to access the shared drive from the same machine as the one running the Alfresco server.

Thanks

Hi,

You need sometimes to be very patient and repeat same credentials admin/admin more than once (striking enter key very fast).
It seems Window$ Explorer is sometimes is very hard to convince to log on CIFS server 🙂

Hi,

Try accessing the Alfresco CIFS server from another system and see if that works. There is a problem in the Win2000 where it does not allow connections to itself using NetBIOS, there is an MS knowledgebase article about it but I can't remember the number at the moment.

Other versions of Windows, pre and post Win2000, work ok.

Cheers

Gary

I tried from another computer - same problem 😕
BTW I am running Windows XP, not Windows 2000.

Cheers.
