What happened to the sites folder?
Have you upgraded your version of Alfresco or did someone delete it.
Does the sites folder actually exist?

Hi,
I am experiencing this same problem but I do know it is happening because I have deleted the Sites space from Alfresco thinking it wasn't needed…
What is the easiest way of recreating the Sites space so that Alfresco server can be started successfully? Is this straightforward or will I need to re-install Alfresco?
Thanks for your help,
PM.

I solved this changing the configuration of VTI module in /WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/module/org.alfresco.module.vti/context.
You must add new property in vti.properties as this:
vti.root.path=/app:company_home
And after you have to change the root path of VTI in vti-handler-alfresco3-context.xml. Looking for property "rootPath" and changing its value to

Hi,
I have the same trouble here. The fact is that i'm working on a new structure of Spaces for a project, and accidentally moved the Sites Space to the Backup Space, i've created to reorganize the content later.
So, the Sites Space, is in <company_home>/BACKUP/Sites .. I've tried to follow the method bergerrc described to
Am i'm missing some sintaxe error, or it's just something else?
Best regards, and thanks.

Hi,
one year after this thread, i've had the same issue and could solve it with the hint.
I didn't change anything so I don't understand this behavior.
Can someone explain what happened?
Thanks
Ishan
