pdf title

Hi,
I tried to change the "title" metadata of a .pdf document uploaded, it will not be changed despite the message of success.

it happened to someone else? There are any other solutions?

This seems to work fine for me, Novel.

Precisely what are you doing and how are you checking whether the change has been made?

I upload a .pdf file, than I click on "Edit Metadata" near the file and change the title..click ok:
popup: "details updated successfully"
Then I click again on "edit metadata" and the title isn't changed.

That's most peculiar. The title is displayed next to the file name in the document list in Share. When you edit the title and save it, does the title change in the document list?

oh yes there is (<title_name>) near the file, but the metadata isn't changed and on my web site isn't changed.

Is this something that happens only on PDF files? How about if you upload an image or a Word document. If you create another Share site and upload the PDF into the document library of that Share site, does the same problem occur?

Sorry for all the questions, but I've never seen this problem before, so am struggling to work out what may be happening on your system.

yes, it happens with other files (. jpg. doc. ppt)

and is the same even with a new site

Unfortunately I don't either

We've not had that reported by anyone else (yet - if you're reading this and have the same issue please add to this thread). It sounds a little weak, but perhaps try the latest nightly build? (available from http://dev.alfresco.com/downloads/nightly/dist/)

ok, I  have just installed the latest version "29-Oct-2010 20:41 15M " and this problem seems resolved
