Ownership of Company Home

Hi,

I tried to disable a home space of a normal user by removing the reference to the home space in the user management module.

By doing this I gave the ownership of the Company Home space to this user. Don't know why this happend, seems like a bug but can't reproduce it. This ordenary user is now owner of my Company Home root folder, not good!

How do I retake ownership of this folder?

I tried to remove the user and tried to reassign a new user home space for this user but both methods didn't work out.

User 'external_asml' is the current owner of this space.

Thanks!

If what you say is happening then yes i think it is a bug. I'll raise a JIRA task to track it.

Thanks,

Kevin

I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but it certainly was not my intention to give the root ownership to this user.

But… I'm more interested in a solution to my problem: how do I retake ownership? Can this be done in the web GUI or do I change something in the database?

I have run into a similar problem where I had created a user without specifying a Space for them (leaving the Location as their root page).  And now they have ownership of that space.   I don't know how I am able to convert it back to the admin user.

Login as the "admin" user, select View Details from the More Actions menu for the Company Home, then select the Take Ownership action from the Actions menu.

I'll get this raised as a bug.

Cheers,

Kevin
